Those of you who know me personally will know that I work long and hard at creating the best personal training experience for all of our clients. We have a unique, world-class personal training gym in the heart of the City of London, do everything that we can to go that extra mile for our clients, and put a hell of a lot of effort into keeping at the forefront of the fitness industry. A lot of personal trainers (and you will see the type to whom I refer in a moment Matt Pack of miamibeachpersonaltrainer / Florida BioSignature Modualtion) claim grand things for themselves, they may even strike lucky and pick up one famous client and start calling themselves a celebrity personal trainer, but when you scratch the surface their claims dont add up and their testimonials (from faceless, nameless people) carry little weight. I like to think that we can back up our claims with vivid results, and testimonials from people whose words have meaning.
All of this little preamble brings me to todays little rant. Personal trainers claiming grand things for themselves who are too lazy and too dumb to get off their backsides and make a name off their own work. We must all be inspired by others who teach us and help us to forge our own paths and training philosophies. A portion of my own work derives from the things I have learned taking classes, numerous consultations , and private conversations with Charles Poliquin. In turn I consult with personal trainers from up and down the country, helping them with everything from training and nutrition to business advice. Sometimes I charge, and sometimes if I have the time and the circumstances are right I give my time freely to help others out. The point here being that there is lots of help out there for those diligent enough to seek out.
However, not everyone has scruples / ethics / a brain. Which brings me to Matt Pack, a Florida personal trainer, who isnt just stupid, but also lazy. Neither quality you want in a personal trainer, Florida based readers take note. My writings get ripped off all the time, it comes with the territory. Often I see websites that read so much like our Ultimate Performance one that it makes me laugh / cringe depending upon how blatant the copy is. Usually I take the view that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and leave it at that. We have all been inspired at certain times. However, something happened the other day that made me decide to shame Matt Pack (of miamibeachpersonaltrainer.com) and show him up for being a plain old fashioned thief. In case you are unclear, the definition of theft is to permanently appropriate something that is not your own. When Matt Pack was sat in Florida literally cutting and pasting my words on BioSignature Modulation into his website he wasnt just being lazy, he was also stealing. He was also being pretty dumb.
Below is a thumbnail of what he did it is a word for word rip off of my own site with the only changes being the price and currency of the services. Please note that Matt Pack was too stupid and lazy to even take MY OWN NAME out of the text. Attention to detail is paramount, Matt. Soon enough if you visit his website I will imagine that this has all been changed, but we can keep the thumbnail on this site in perpetuity. Let us all hope that Mr Pack is a better personal trainer than he is copywriter.
